hello.

welcome to my

design portfolio

I have years of experience working as a freelancer and in-house designer for industries such as entertainment, event photography, software, health and fitness, education, and video game.

These various experiences have given me skills in photo and video editing, motion graphics, graphic design in print and digital, web development, and marketing.

I take pride in being a motivated, self-starter who thrives on learning new skills and overcoming challenges.

Skills

Graphic Art and Design

Using the Adobe Suite, I have created graphics for both print and digital. Some of my print materials include brochures, ads, tshirts, photo folders, photo magnets, and business cards. Some of my digital designs include social media graphics, digital ads, email marketing graphics, and web graphics.

Branding

Working with different industries, I have learned how to create and adhere to unique styles and branding guidelines. A company’s image is the key to attracting the right customer. The design must be consistent from the logo to the website to create a cohesive vibe.

Video Editing and Motion Graphics

With ever changing techonology, the world has shifted to become more video-centric. Videos convey messages more efficiently than other forms of media. My skills with video range from simple editing to keyframing motion graphics and 2d animation.

Web Design

One of the best selling tools a company has is a website. I apply design that is easy to navigate, visually appealing, strategically layed out, and has a responsive design.

Web Development

Using HTML and CSS, I develop dynamic websites and expand on the capabilites of the CMS or theme. I have worked with two content management systems, WordPress and Joomla, to create and maintain websites.

3D Modeling and Texturing

My experience with 3D modeling and texturing has been done with Maya and Zbrush. I also have knowledge of rendering, rigging, and animation.

Photography and Photo Editing

I have worked for a few photographers both as a photography assistant, using principles of design, and as a photo editor. I have experience with photo manipulation, color correcting, photo retouching, and photo restoration.

Marketing

In addition to traditional marketing strategies, I have experience with digital marketing. By doing SEO keyword research, I have ranked blog posts on the first page of Google, and reviewed Google Analytics to determine KPIs. My experiences in email marketing include working in MailChimp, ConvertKit, and HubSpot. I have experience with Social Media Marketing and PPC.

Software

Photoshop

Photoshop is my go-to software for creating quick mockups and for anything regarding photos and other raster-based imagery.

Illustrator

If the project needs to be vector, I use Illustrator. For files that need to be scalable such as logos and icons, Illustrator is the way to go.

InDesign

InDesign makes creating marketing materials simple by allowing multiple pages to be edited at once, providing the ability to have the same look and feel throughout a project. I use InDesign when I am developing brochures, magazines, sell sheets, and catalogs.

After Effects

I use After Effects to edit video and create special effects. Visual storytelling can take projects to the next level with a well thought out pipeline.

Autodesk Maya

Maya is my 3D software of choice. I am proficient with many of Maya’s capabilities including modeling, UV layout, texture mapping, rending, and animation.

Pixologic Zbrush

I use Zbrush to create textures. Zbrush is perfect for digitally sculpting details onto geometry. The details are usually then exported as texture maps.

WordPress

WordPress is my preferred CMS. In my experience, WordPress is user friendly, yet extremely powerful. Not only is wordpress the most popular CMS, but there are tons of online resources to learn from.
